No.9 Run for the Hills

Run for the Hills Wallpaper
Run for the Hills
Hills. Many runners dread them. The idea of “running hills” as a workout seems crazy. But I love the hills. Particularly the ones that are out in the middle of nowhere. Skyrunner Killian Jornet loves hills, too. If you want to run for the hills, show it with this awesome wallpaper.

No.8 Running the Risk

Running the Risk Wallpaper
Running the Risk
While out in the deserts of Utah, not far from Moab, I was inspired by the near-indistinguishable single-track trails through the canyons, and wished I had more time to run through the hills. T.S. Eliot’s words are a perfect reminder of why runners push so hard…

Here’s an experimental one for the early adopters of iOS 7 on their iPhones and iTouch’s. You’ll need to save it to your camera roll, then when selecting the image be sure you select it from your “Panoramas” folder, NOT your Camera Roll.

Pre: Movember Motivation Wallpaper

Pre: Mo Bro
This month we’re helping raise Movember awareness for prostate cancer with this awesome motivational wallpaper. When you think running and moustaches, you should think Steve Prefontaine – he rocked that ‘stache like nobody’s business. Your moustache may not be as good, but you’re doing something great if you’re raising money and awareness for a worthy cause. Pre: a true Mo Bro.

No.2 Keep Running

Keep Running
It seems like when I skip a day, or miss because of some excuse (sick, tired, too busy, have to wash my hair that night), it becomes easy to skip another, and another. The excuses start piling up. I didn’t feel good yesterday, so maybe I should take one more recovery day. My ITB was acting up, I should give it more rest. And although there are legitimate reasons to miss a day, generally one day becomes more. Don’t let it happen. Outrun your excuses.

No.1 Moving Forward

Moving Forward Featured

Moving Forward
Having recently watched “Running the Sahara,” I’ve been checking into all things Ray Zahab lately. Hugely inspirational not only for his amazing running feats, but also for his philanthropy and education of youth through Impossible2Possible, this wallpaper is an homage to his South Pole Quest from December 2008-January 2009. Winter running is hard in our harsh Canadian winters, although nothing like travelling to the South Pole solo, but it’s likely you’ll need some motivation to finish on some wintery days nonetheless.
