I’ve been in recovery mode over the last week (race report coming tomorrow). With little running happening i haven’t had much to blog about, but more updates are coming this week.
After three days off I went for a short (4k) run with my wife on Thursday. It was a very easy pace and felt quite good.
With the Hanukkah Hustle 5k just around the corner, and hoping to place in the top three for my age group, I’m going to be doing some intervals and speed work this week, while still limiting my milage as I’m still recovering from last weekend’s marathon.
Monday – 4k easy
Tuesday – 8k with 4×1000 at 10k race pace
Thursday – 5k with 2k at race pace
Friday – 4k easy
Sunday – Hanukkah Hustle 5k
That’ll keep my week to a mere 26k. I plan to run the Jingle Bell 5k next month (just for fun), and possibly the resolution run at the end of next month. The next big race will be the Around The Bay 30k in Spring, I think.
