These compression shorts are a great warm base layer that is sure to keep the cold out – as long as it’s not too windy. A windproof layer would have given these shorts a nearly perfect score, although I did find that chafing became an issue at times, particularly in warmer weather, on long runs (beyond 15k) and on faster runs.

Beyond these shortfalls, Nike has produced an excellent set of compression shorts that work as advertised. Check out the video for the details.
